Tlingit Oral Traditions

Oral tradition is a method of accurately describing the history of the Tlingit people and the land they live in. Combining traditional and western wisdom may be a way to connect Tlingit traditions with scientific knowledge of history and events. Here we will see how oral tradition has been used to corroborate and expand upon the history of glacier advance near modern-day Hoonah, Alaska.
