We went to the Mundaneum today, an enormous card catalog that was the original analog search engine and is now on the UNESCO register.
I don't have many pictures from the visit but I have enormous respect for the 19th century originators of the project who were fixated on collecting and distributing information around the world in ways that we now take for granted.
