Food Rescue
In the summer of 2020, I became involved with Food is Free Tacoma, promoting and distributing "food rescue" from grocery stores, restaurants, and food banks--food that would otherwise be thrown away! I also built a food-sharing table for my neighborhood, which I continue to manage as community members fill and take from it every day.

Children's Literature
While studying abroad in Australia in 2018, I created storytimes for young children through the Read-a-Rama® program.
Earlier that same year, I created a read-aloud project for young children at a homelessness support event in Tacoma.
I now actively work on collection development (adding and removing) for the Early Childhood Education collection at the Pierce College Library, focusing on Native lifeways and imagery, and on diverse representation.
